Aquatec's PLC902 Tank Level Control "switch/valve" combination senses the water level through (3) sensors installed through the wall of a non-metallic holding tank. A stainless steel sensor positioned at the pre-determined "fill-level" turns the pump off and closes the integral valve, thereby shutting off the feed-water. As product water is used and falls below the "refill level" the lower sensor automatically restarts the pump and reopens the integral feed-water valve. The valve is powered by Aquatec's exclusive patented energy saving 24 volt coil, strong enough to open against 100 psi. It is intended for high flow applications up to 2500 mL/min. The unique circuit allows the 24 volt valve coil to operate without heat build up and AC coil noise. The control circuitry is integrated into the valve and is hermetically sealed for maximum reliability under sever operating condition.
In a booster pump application, the TLC valve is mounted in-line on the feed water line in front of the inlet to the pump. It's powered by a 24 VAC transformer. The TLC prevents making more water than necessary to fill the unit, thus conserving water and extending the life of the system components.
